	EXTERNAL COUNTER PULSATOR (ECP) Ischemic heart disease and heart failure are increasing in incidence and prevalence around the world. These diseases remain the commonest cause of disability and death than any other illness. Stable angina pectoris / Heart Failure are generally managed by drugs, initially, but subsequently are advised to undergo coronary angioplasty / revascularization procedures. As a significant proportion of such patients cannot undergo invasive procedures due to either co-morbid illness or cost, they have been found to benefit from non-invasive methods using External Counter Pulsator (ECP) which are not widely available due to the exorbitant cost of these equipment. ECP has been shown by scientific studies to provide relief to patients with Ischemic heart diseasen several ways. Considering the non-invasive nature of the procedure and the non-availability of this equipment in India, this product development has been completed. Technology is ready for product engineering and technology absorption.
