	CORONARY CATHETERS This project aimed at the indigenisation of cardio-vascular catheters [diagnostic and angioplasty] to bring down their price. Selection of indigenous polymeric materials was done at Defence Materials and Stores R&D Establishment (DMSRDE), Kanpur in the light of the bio-compatibility study [in-vitro and in-vivo] carried out in collaboration with GSVM Medical College, Kanpur and CDRI, Lucknow. Contours design was completed for Judkins Type diagnostic catheters and 145 angled pigtail. Tooling for polymer extrusions was realized. The development work was completed and Lab models of catheter tube and Guidewires were successfully realized. The prototypes were clinically evaluated and the Transfer of Technology was done to M/s.Uday Kunal Industries Ltd., Mumbai.
